Build Wealth
DonateWe work with Minnesota communities, foundations, lenders, churches, and local and state government agencies to help families and neighborhoods grow.
Families who reside in underserved communities must contend with higher prices for almost everything: groceries, gas, housing, insurance and other necessities.
So-called food and bank deserts add financial pressures that can devastate families and their communities. Falling behind even a little can quickly lead to getting buried in debt, and the family pays the price.
Like everyone else, underserved families deserve easy access to financial resources and education to succeed. We see this need and we’re meeting it with our Family Stabilization Plan and other programs. Please consider partnering with us to help more families faster.
Build Wealth coordinates multiple programs to offer neighborhood-based financial services.
We partner with LISC Twin Cities to be a Financial Opportunity Center that provides career and financial coaching for low- to moderate-income people.
The Center integrates financial literacy, coaching, employment readiness services and alignment to public benefits for those in need. LISC Twin Cities is part of a network of more than 100 Financial Opportunity Centers across the country, embedded in local community organizations that are trusted for providing quality services where people live.
We also partner with Prepare and Prosper as a community administrator of the FAIR (Financial Access in Reach) Financial Solution product, which gives our clients more control over their money and future by providing three products built to work better for them:
Interested partners and clients seeking a FAIR account should contact us.
Our educational programs are proven to be successful. Let us bring our expertise and enthusiasm to your organization, community, church or school.

Build Wealth teams up with many organizations and businesses to develop affordable housing for our communities. We actively engage in single- and multi-family real estate development to revitalize communities and provide affordable housing opportunities to low- and moderate-income families.
Build Wealth partners with the City of Minneapolis in the PAH program as an administrator. According to PAH guidelines, “the goal of PAH is to eliminate racial disparities in homeownership and provide sustainable and accessible homeownership opportunities to low- to moderate-income households throughout the City of Minneapolis.”
Additionally, the guidelines state: Eligible homebuyers must be at or below 80% Area Median Income and in alignment with additional PAH income and household size guidelines, and they must complete homebuyer education courses.
Eligible financing for homeowners must include a fixed-rate FHA, VA, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac portfolio (insured or uninsured) that’s considered by the lending industry to be an “A” or “prime” lending product.
Build Wealth is a part of a collaborative of four organizations (Aurora-St. Anthony Neighborhood Development Corporation (ASANDC), Build Wealth Minnesota, Camphor Fiscally Fit Center and Model Cities of St. Paul, Inc.) that work on comprehensive delivery approaches to help families attain financial literacy, become more stable, build budgets and create savings programs. Together, HOMECO organizations also provide employment readiness programs and entrepreneurial technical assistance. Plus, HOMECO aligns clients with affordable housing options and rental readiness and homeownership programs.
