Join us for a day focused on legacy, homeownership, family, opportunity, and the future.

The 5th Annual Black Men’s Legacy Summit, presented by 9000 Equities, brings Black men together for a powerful day of fellowship, conversation, connection, and action centered around one important question:
What legacy are we building for our families and communities?
This year’s theme, Legacy Under Fire—Stand Your Ground, challenges us to consider how we protect what previous generations have built while creating new opportunities for those who come next.

Conversations That Matter

Throughout the day, we’ll explore legacy from multiple perspectives—from family and the next generation to economic opportunity, health, civic engagement, and the future of our communities.
Topics include:
  • Black Fathers and Their Sons
    Strengthening relationships, responsibility, mentorship, and the legacy passed from one generation to the next.
  • Next In Line: Our Turn to Build
    Giving the next generation a voice in the conversation about opportunity, leadership, wealth, and the future they want to create.
  • The Collective Kitchen
    A conversation centered on connection, collaboration, and what can happen when we come together to strengthen our families and communities.
  • Thriving Economic Opportunities to Build Legacies
    Exploring pathways to economic opportunity, entrepreneurship, homeownership, and long-term wealth building.
  • Health is Wealth
    Examining the connection between health, wellness, longevity, and our ability to build and sustain a lasting legacy.
  • Politics and Legacy
    Exploring civic engagement, policy, and how decisions made today can affect families, communities, ownership, and opportunity for generations to come.

Keynote: The State of the Nation

This year’s Summit will feature Dr. Cornel West, also warmly regarded as Brother West, as its keynote speaker.

Dr. West is the holder of the Dietrich Bonhoeffer Chair at Union Theological Seminary and a distinguished scholar, author, and public philosopher. He previously served at Harvard University and is Professor Emeritus at Princeton University, where he earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy in 1980, becoming the first Black man to receive a philosophy Ph.D. from Princeton. His acclaimed books include Race Matters, Democracy Matters, and Black Prophetic Fire.

This is more than a day of conversation. It is an opportunity to connect, learn, identify resources, and consider practical ways to build, protect, and sustain a legacy for our families and communities.

    • A light lunch will be servied while supplies last.
    • To Note:  Space is limited in the main hall and will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis on the day of the event, so please arrive early.
